  • The BlackBerry KEY2 is due to launch tomorrow, but specs have purportedly leaked online.
  • The phone is expected to offer a Snapdragon 660 chipset, 6GB of RAM, and a 3,500mAh battery.
  • As per previous leaks, we also see a dual-camera setup and QWERTY keyboard.

Back in April, China’s TENAA telecoms authority revealed a few BlackBerry Key2 specs and renders. Now, the entire spec sheet has been revealed. The information comes via serial leaker Evan Blass, who also tweeted a few renders of the handset.

True to the TENAA images, the new pictures show a similar keyboard-equipped design to the BlackBerry KeyOne and a dual-camera setup. More specifically, the spec sheet points to a virtually identical 4.5-inch 1,620 x 1,080 IPS LCD screen and, yes, a fingerprint scanner in the spacebar. That KeyOne DNA seems to be present here.

We also see a 12MP f/1.8 1.25 micron pixel main camera, and a 12MP f/2.6 1.0 micron pixel secondary camera. The latter camera’s much smaller aperture suggests a telephoto snapper.

Shifting to the power department, the BlackBerry Key2 leak mentions a more powerful Snapdragon 660 chipset, 6GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB of expandable storage. Toss in a 3,500mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and the phone could have better than average endurance.

Those looking for a 3.5mm headphone jack might be relieved to know that the leak indeed references the port. Otherwise, an 8MP selfie camera, Android 8.1, USB Type-C support, and Bluetooth 5.0 round out the list of apparent features.

Blass also claims a price tag of $649/579 pounds/649 euros. If confirmed, this would make for a massive increase over the KeyOne’s $549/499 pound/599 euro launch price.
